Laschout.com has learned and can confirm that Joe Paterno was indeed one of the parties involved in a reported "road rage incident" this past Friday on the Penn State Campus. Exact details of what happened are sketchy at this point. From what we understand, there are conflicting versions of the incident. When more details come to light we will post them here.

Maybe you guys should post at the top of the Blog somewhere a statement that explains what you're about and the rules, or lack thereof, you follow when making a post so we can avoid all these replies criticizing you for posting "sketchy" information.
I have to admit, I did the same thing with the rape incident post last week, but now I know the rules as a result of that tedious thread, I understand the nature of the game and can choose to come here or not, read a thread or not with that understanding.

Guess what - that would be useless. If you can't read & analyze & weigh the meaning of a post like this, then your chances at understanding a disclaimer are pretty much non-existent. The morons who can't read and want to vomit up a layer of blue & white paint on everything are going to do that no matter what you warn them about. If I had one criticism of this site so far, I would say that you've spent time responding at all to some of these morons.
Don't worry, for every moron who lashes out at Laschout, there are 10-15 folks reading who understand what you're doing and appreciate it. Just swat the flies away and keep on keeping on.

Man, some of you people are unbelievable. These guys try to give information and not throw people under the bus and you jump them. As for the report, I am very sorry to hear there is at least some validity to this story. The end is near.

At this point in time, I really don't care if a "road rage" incident is Joe's down fall. The guy has obviously held on too long and he is an impediment to the long term success of the program.
It is like Bill Clinton in the 90's, George Bush this decade, after awhile you just want him to go away.
Joe...it really is time to move on with the rest of your life.

This could end up being the equivalent to the Hayes punch, and that's sad. It could be the final straw for an administration that is looking to move on, although they won't want to fire him and they probably won't be able to persuade him to leave on his own.

If this is true, how does the administration not discipline JoePa? Joe is probably telling his players that they have to control their emotions and tempers. Great example if he can not control his own emotions.

Where does it say Joe Paterno was confirmed to be involved in the incident? Looks to me like that person copied Laschout's information from the past 4-5 days and used it as their own. By the way the CDT blog post was made at 3PM yesterday.
I know some of you refuse to give this site any credit. But if you're going to bash them, at least have your ducks in a row before you do so.

It amazes me how many people rip blogs for publishing comments. It's obvious that these guys have inside sources. People who think Joe P is above this must have forgotten his blasting about the women in A.J. Nicholson room, Him yelling and touching the refs at the Iowa game and his tirade at the press conference against Rutgers 10-15 years ago.
Joe's actions and mouth have gotten him into debates before.
This is just bad Karma for ripping all other schools over the past 4 years who have had incidents.

Generally, I think the opinions expressed on this site are garbage, but I have to say that I appreciate and respect the way that information is shared here. It's a step better than hearsay and a step ahead of traditional outlets.
The role these outlets play in the media spectrum is clear to everyone else - Anonymous, PiV, TheLaschingStock - what about it is so beyond your understanding?

WTF is wrong with some of you? Why do you continue to read this site if all you can do is cry like little girls because "sources" haven't been identified, or the info is sketchy. Are your lives so miserable that whining makes you feel better?
I for one appreciate the FREE info that is passed out on here. So far the track record has been good.

A little more information while still protecting your source (if need be) would likely go a long way for some folks here.

Does it really matter if the information is proven to be correct? They could tell us info came from the Campus Cop, but some would then want his name.
Credibility is established over time. Since this site has been up, info has been dead on. That's good enough for me, but you may have different criteria. Doesn't mean they owe you more.

My problem with this story is that I have a hard time believing that Joe would use double-fisted middle fingers over an Italian-style "chin flick"
Keep up the good work LaschOut. Many of us fans appreciate any information from behind the blue and white curtain not pre-approved and sanitized by the powers that be. Any rational adult should be able to take the information given here with the appropriate grain of salt.

Yes the CDT did post that article and Laschout gave them credit for that report yesterday on the blog. The article you linked was a blog posted yesterday that basically sounded like a rehash of everything posted here over the past 5 days. Nowhere in it or the prior CDT article was it confirmed that Paterno was involved. Laschout says they have confirmed it, so I don't see what you are getting at.
As for the other things almost all of the charges were dropped against AS and I would guess they think Bell still has some potential. I saw TO drop some passes on Monday night, I doubt the Cowboys are ready to cut him from the roster.

I still respect JoePa regardless if the story is true. How many times has an idiot driver made you want to railroad someone? Obviously not all the facts have come out, so we shouldn't even speculate as to how this will affect recruiting... When I told my wife about this incident in question and the JoePa may have been involved, her first response was "Is he still driving?"
I laughed... then stopped. She may have a point there...

The image I have of this incident is that two grad students are driving along quoting bible passages to each other with both hands on the wheel and obeying the speed limit. Then along comes this nasty old man who zooms by them, doesn't like their looks and forces them to the curb, where he proceeds to leap from the car with middle fingers blazing and profanity streaming from his mouth. Seriously, assuming the incident is true, there are some details missing from what we are hearing. Such as, what precipitated the whole incident.
