Who is Ted Sarniak?
According to a recent article by Scout network's Adam Jardy, a Jeanette businessman named Ted Sarniak was reportedly spotted having dinner with Ohio State coaches in Jeanette.
Considering some of the shady recruiting tactics used by "friends of the Ohio State Program" in the past, this article certainly raises some red flags. Laschout wants to know more about Mr. Sarniak. Why is he having dinner with Ohio State coaches and why is he involved with Terrelle Pryor?

This is the second time his name came up in the last two weeks. BWI or Scout (maybe both) had something about this guy last week and his specialty glass company in Jeannette. Someone alleged he also has a business in or just outside Columbus being "supported" by some OSU boosters.
I put on my Rockford Files disguise, jumped in my camaro and did a google and a Dunn and Bradstreet search and couldn't find anything in the Columbus area attached to this guy. That's not to say there isn't business there but nothing official or semi official.
Maybe he's just a friend of the coaches?

I was emailed something this morning from a friend claiming Sarniak owns a restuarant in Columbus that suddenly is very popular with OSU boosters. Also rumors of him cutting a "big deal" for his glassy company in C-Bus. Looks like OSUV is up to it's old tricks.

I dont believe that he has a restaurant there. What I believe is that he does business through his glass company with companies near Columbus. Not that there is anything wrong with that...

A good friend of mine, has a son that plays ball at Jeannette. According to him, quite often Mr. Sarniak gives Pryor a ride to school in his Mercerdes Benz. I wonder if he gives him "lunch money" as well.

Given OSU's history with Troy Smith and Maurice Clarett, it's safe to assume that where there is smoke, there's fire.
Also, Tressel wasn't exactly squeaky clean at YSU, so it's not overly hard to fathom that Terrelle Pryor is receiving something for attending OSU. Stay tuned, though when the investigation occurs, it'll probably happen after Pryor's gone from OSU.

I met Tressel while standing in line with my fiance to sell back her books. She was a YSU cheerleader who also happened to be a paid test taker and paper writer for the YSU football team. She said that it was common knowledge that the team had others doing their work. This was assumed to include Tressel but was never directly implicated. I saw what happened at YSU first hand.

I certainly hope all these schools are above board with Pryor and that includes Penn State. Word filtering out in some circles is that there will be an NCAA investigation.

Hey Dudley while you are researching, you need to look into who supplies Sarniak his glass supplies. Would be interesting to see where the company who is his supplier is from.

Sigh...this guys a booster no doubt about it. He could easily be giving money to OSU to then leave in Pryors dorm. Kind of like when Hawk reported having like 5k in cash and other items stolen from his dorm room a few years ago.

Housing is an expense covered by the grant in aid, not to exceed the normal dorm fees. Anything above that is responsibility of the student/athlete.

Yes, this raises more red flags than the entire country of China.
Its evidently clear that Ohio $tate can win championships when they pay their players (2003 - with officials' help), and can't get over the hump without that advantage (2006, 2007 - embarrassing ass kickings).

From the post, sounds like they don't have all the info they want on Sarniak to connect the dots.... My guess is they are fishing for people to do some research to find out more about who he actually is and what he is doing to try to influence Terrelle to OSU.

Well, all rumors aside, if Sarniak is an OSU booster (meeting with their coaches might just qualify here), he is forbidden from having contact with, offering employment to, and any other activity that might imply favors or influence. The NCAA can spank them pretty good for violations like this, even without a corvette.

So Terrelle is taking a Vette to the Prom. I am sure we all rode in our own cars to the prom.... right? Unless Terrelle is seen driving this car every day. Its not an issue IMO. I am all for trying to flush thigs out, but this flush doesn't wash.

In fact the Building Industry Association of Ohio's board of trustees is ripe with reps from JSG's client list, many of whoms bio's mention Ohio State degrees. Also, these companies appear on Ohio State's corporate sponsorship lists.
Conversely, not a single client of JSG is within 60 miles of State College.......hmmmm.
